FIELD: thickening and clarifying water both under ground and on surface. SUBSTANCE: apparatus is made in the form of horizontal parallelepiped with filter bed formed by large fractions of solid material of hydraulic mixture and at least one intake cylinder designed for receiving hydraulic mixture which is mounted vertically in center of arbitrary square of filter. Horizontal suction device provided with soil intake ports is used for removal of filter bed and ensuring stable filtration process. it is located above water-distributing manifold at height of filter bed. Horizontal suction device is located over perimeter of apparatus at a distance of 0.3-0.4 m from wall; it is provided with soil intake ports at angles of arbitrary square of filter and is connected with water intake device by means of calibrated branch pipe. EFFECT: renewal of filter bed smoothly over entire area of filter; enhanced efficiency in removal of fine particles of solid material of filter. 3 cl, 2 dwg
