FIELD: biotransport. SUBSTANCE: bottom bracket unit has housing 1, shaft with flange for sprocket 3 and locking-and-limiting mechanism of cranks 5 on each end of shaft. Locking-and-limiting mechanism has locking hole 11 on shaft, holes coaxial with locking hole in cantilever boss 6 and stop 7 spring-loaded relative to shaft and connected by flexible tie-rod 8 with drive lever 9 with eccentric axle fitted in hole of cantilever boss 10. Front limiter 12 and rear limiter 13 are installed symmetrically relative to hole 11 on each end of shaft. Invention can be used in production and operation of all known types of bicycles: mountain, sport, freight and other models and also motorized bicycles, mopeds and velomobiles.
