FIELD: electrochemical purification of industrial and city sewage, of surface water fouled with protein, specifically, sewage of dairy factories, factories processing meat, leather working shops as well as surface waters carrying water plants, precipitates and foam formed during processing of sewage. SUBSTANCE: proposed electrochemical method of purification includes operations for decomposition of water (process of gas saturation), dissolution of metal of anode, repeat decomposition of water with simultaneous turning of molecule of proteins to secondary and tertiary chains under action of ions of dissolved metal and protons of hydrogen with pH of medium close to isoelectric point of proteins and under turbulent mode of movement of flow, coagulation and sorption of impurities by produced molecule of proteins concentrated on boundaries of phase separation, formation of floes, flotation and removal of foam. Gear for electrochemical purification of sewage fouled with protein has vessels installed in sequence and manufactured in the form of sections of tubes with electric generators placed inside them where water decomposition is carried by means of electrolysis (gas saturation) in vessel 1, dissolution of metal of anode takes place in vessel 2, repeat decomposition of water by electrolysis with simultaneous turning of molecule of proteins to secondary and tertiary chains under action of ions of dissolved metal of anode and protons of hydrogen, coagulation and sorption of impurities by these proteins are carried out in vessel 3, vessel 4 is used for formation of flocks and is manufactured in the form of bell mouth positioned with open developed part upwards, flotation is conducted in vessel 6.
