FIELD: glass production technology. SUBSTANCE: in device, heating conveyer 42 transfers flat heated sheet of glass to facing-down surface 46 of upper transporting unit 44. This unit has lower frame 48 having facing-upward continuous surface 50. At least part of aforesaid surface has convex facing-up profile. This part receives heated flat sheet of glass from upper transporting unit 44. Also provided is upper circular form 52 which forms and compacts periphery of heated sheet of glass on surface 50 of vacuum form on which vacuum is created inside compacted periphery of glass sheet for forming entire sheet of glass to surface configuration of vacuum form. After that, vacuum is created inside vacuum chamber of upper circular form 52 to receive formed sheet of glass from lower vacuum chamber for further fixing it by upper circular form. Cooling form 132 which can be represented either by annealing ring or hardening ring takes formed sheet of glass from upper circular form 52 for cooling to effect either annealing or hardening of formed sheet of glass.
