FIELD: railway maintenance equipment. SUBSTANCE: this relates to devices which are used for renewing railway track ballast without removing rail and sleeper structure. Device has frame, and mounted on it are wings with grabbing members in the form of scoops secured in lower part of wings. Frame of device is provided with U-shape cramp which embraces rail. Vertical side walls of cramp are comb-like. Aforesaid configuration of device allows for grabbing ballast practically at any depth which is determined by kind of maintenance operation, including elimination of ballast squeezing out.
