FIELD: gas burners of different application heating members using heat of combusted gas; household gas ranges. SUBSTANCE: surface combustion gas burner has gas nozzle, mixer, burner tip and protective cover. Burner tip is metal-and-felt porous body made of heat resistant and refractory alloy with fully open variable thickness volumetric porosity within 90 and 98% with variable size pores in range of 50 and 1000 μm in burner tip thickness decreasing in direction towards protective cover with discrete fibers projecting over external surface and arranged at angle relative to surface. Metal-and-felt porous body is installed in holder made of refractory material. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 3 dwg , 1 tbl
