FIELD: coating surfaces and obtaining separate multilayer material for producing structural and electronic materials for medicine and radio physics. SUBSTANCE: specimen is passed many times through interphase layers at liquid-liquid and liquid-air (or gas) phase interface. Separate monolayers are obtained by separating substances from phase volume. In this way, alternating layers differing in chemical composition and coatings possessing unique physical and chemical properties are obtained. For example, alternating soft electrolytic iron and iron containing carbon subjected to thermal treatment give steel similar to damask steel. EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities.
