FIELD: medicine; otoneutrology and otolaryngology. SUBSTANCE: method includes determination of audibility threshold of tone at frequency of 1.2 or 4 kHz, stimulation by signals of 2-3 s duration at levels of superthreshold intensity of 5-15 and 15-25 dB with difference of intensity levels being 10 dB. Method also includes recording of mobile response indicated by voltage drop. Difference of voltage drop values is calculated, and diagnostic criteria is determined by formula , where ΔU is difference of voltage drop values. With K exceeding 0.3, peripheral damage to sound sensing apparatus is diagnosed. EFFECT: higher accuracy of diagnostics.
