FIELD: medicine; stomatology. SUBSTANCE: proposed pivot-supported tooth comprises intraradicular part 1, supraradicular part 2 and, interposed therebetween, hollow root-supporting fixative 3 having open axial-end surface 4 facing intraradicular part 1. Fixative 3, as viewed in its cross-section, all along its height has shape of closed circumference with center coinciding with axis of intraradicular part 1. Root- supporting fixative 3 has additional supporting surface 5 disposed on its outer surface facing open axial end 4. Proposed method comprises following steps of: mechanically treating root canal to make it ready to receive intraradicular part 1 of pivot-borne tooth, levelling-out tooth root base 24, forming circular recess 26 around inlet 25 into root canal 23, and forming support-providing projection 27 having shape and dimensions of root-supporting fixative 3. EFFECT: 1) prevented cleavage of tooth root in process of fixing and using pivot-borne tooth; 2) enhanced reliability of fixation of tooth. 43 cl, 14 dwg
