FIELD: medicine; in particular methods for relieving cardiorespiratory system, for normalizing vegetative balance and other body's functional systems. SUBSTANCE: proposed method is based upon changing relationship between inhalation and exhalation phases of patient's respiratory cycle. For this purpose, it is necessary to gradually change relationship between patient's respiratory cycle period and his (her) systolic period (referred to hereafter as "D/C relationship") in relation to normal physiological relationship, while, simultaneously, measuring changes in patient's heart's work intensity degree using for this purpose mainly variation factor V. When peak variation factor V is established, it signifies that optimum relationship of said periods is reached. Next, proceeding from established optimum value of D/C relationship, relationship between inhalation and exhalation phases is gradually changed, while, simultaneously, measuring changes in variation factor V value, and as soon as its new peak value is found, conclusion is drawn that optimum relationship between inhalation and exhalation phases is reached. In practice, proposed method is carried out as follows: patient is first made to undergo clinical examination to issue diagnosis, after which patient must start physical training using programmed computerized complex which permits, in real time operating mode, to input into computer (always during patient's training) RR interval values (i.e. time intervals between consecutive systoles as diagnosed by R-waves on ECG), to calculate statistic parameters, such as, e. g. variation factor V (i.e. relationship between standard deviation of RR intervals and average RR interval) and spectral parameters (heart's spectrograms). EFFECT: patient's breathing rhythm and cardiac rhythm can be synchronized in optimum relationship.
