FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves manufacturing rim from profile produced by extruding of basic billet. Depending on predetermined degrees of structure uniformity and physico-mechanical properties of profile, extruding of preheated billet is performed under conditions of absence of resisting friction forces or in the presence of regulated compression stress in surface layers by selecting billet and container heating mode and container kinematic motion mode. Profile is bent into ring in mending machines. Method further involves straightening rim upon welding along joint; manufacturing disk by casting or stamping three-dimensional or sheet billet; assembling disk and rim by compression with following welding.
