FIELD: automotive industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry. Method relates to manufacture of a wheel which comprises a disk (2) and the rim (1) which can be rendered integral by friction weld. Method includes following working steps: making front disc, which includes a dual operation of casting of an initial foundry preform and transferring said initial foundry preform into a forging die, and an operation of forging of said initial foundry preform to obtain front disc, and then an operation of flash removal to obtain said front disc; manufacturing of rim portion, with production of a billet of light alloy, and conversion of said billet into a circular flank obtained by hot or cold extrusion (P1), followed by expansion (P2) of said circular flank to dimensions of final rim, and an operation of hot or cold flow-forming (P3) of disc to final form and profile of rim; assembly of front rim and disc by friction welding operation including, after machining, intended for connection terminals.
EFFECT: technical result is improving quality and reducing weight of wheel.
