FIELD: gold recovery. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrochemically dissolving gold when it is to be recovered from galvanic waste and gold-containing ores in presence of protein-nature complexing agent. Process is carried out with anode polarization of gold-containing raw material at potential 1.2 to 1.4 V (normal H-electrode) in presence of enzymatic protein hydrolyzate from microorganism biomass with hydrolysis degree at least 0.65, amine nitrogen content 0.02-0.04 g/l, and sodium chloride concentration 0.1 M (pH 4-6).
