U-SHAPE PROTECTIVE COVER TO ENSURE OPERATION OF PIPELINE IN LANDSLIDE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: construction of underground trunk pipelines. SUBSTANCE: U-shape protective cover to ensure operation of pipeline in landslide has guarding structures in the form of two rows of cast-in-place piles located in staggered order with monolithic reinforced concrete fencing and cover which is made up of sectional reinforced concrete trough-slabs used in construction of heating mains. Arranged under heating main pipeline is trapezium-section ditch with blanks along edges to protect ambient medium from pollution with transported liquid in case of damaged pipeline. Main pipeline itself is supported by reinforced concrete struts between fencing members located at pitch which is equal to distance between movable and stationary supports of pipeline. Aforesaid cover can be used both in landslide areas of existing pipelines laid in benches cut in hill sides and in newly designed heating mains. EFFECT: high efficiency. 3 dwg
