FIELD: computer engineering. SUBSTANCE: information is input optically into computer 1 which has memory unit in its address space and is processed according given algorithm. Input information is represented by means of distribution of relative light levels of elements 3 of optical memory unit 2, which provides possibility to input and read data electrically. Then memory elements 3 are exposed to given value of light, preliminary optical memory unit is set into light-sensitive state before exposition. Said optical memory unit 2 is included into address space of computer 1. Initial processing of information to be input is performed by input of data into memory optical unit 2. Data to be input are determined by processing algorithm. Part or all information which is determined by processing algorithm may be entered optically.
