FIELD: thermionic method for thermal-to-electric energy conversion. SUBSTANCE: upon thermovacuum degassing, residual gas pressure is recorded at outlet of power-generating assembly, cesium vapor is admitted to assembly at the same time measuring residual gas pressure; as soon as cesium vapor pressure reaches working value and residual gas pressure is stabilized, thermal power Q is raised in research reactor while measuring residual gas pressure P, thermal power Q is recorded at P residual gas pressure P equal to that recorded upon completion of thermovacuum degassing, and thermal power of power generating assembly is evaluated using equation given in description of invention. EFFECT: improved accuracy of thermal power evaluation. 1 dwg
