CARROT HARVESTER Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, harvesting of carrots, red beet, roots. SUBSTANCE: carrot harvester has digging shares 1, active diggers, drum 13 mounted on shaft and provided with flexible working surface, rod-type elevator 22 embracing working surface of drum 13 and receiving-discharge conveyor 25. Drum 13 and rod-type elevator 22 are positioned for separation at their connection zone. Drum 13 has belts 17 attached in spaced relation one with respect to the other on sides 16, to which toroidal chambers 18 are secured. Finger belt 20 is put onto drum 13 and rod roll 21 is positioned above drum 13 to define ascending run of finger belt 20 of separating cleaner. Auxiliary guiding roll 21 is positioned in lower part of separating cleaner for biasing rod-type elevator 22 to finger belt 20 and for forming straight and inclined portion of elevator belt between receiving-discharge conveyor 25 and auxiliary roll 24.
