FIELD: water treatment. SUBSTANCE: apparatus designed for softening, desalting, and cleaning water has casing with ionites in the form of moving tape installed on drive, carrying, and guiding rolls, initial liquid treatment chamber, and chamber for regeneration of ionites with inlet and outlet connecting pipes for initial liquid and regeneration solution. According to invention, tape is made in the form of multilayer cloth composed of alternating layers of conducting and ion-exchange materials, and initial liquid treatment and ionite regeneration chambers are made of dielectric material. On opposite surfaces of chambers, plate-type electrodes are installed with contacts for connection to power source. EFFECT: improved design. 1 dwg
