FIELD: water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment for carrying out ion exchange processes of water purification. The ion exchange apparatus contains a cylindrical body, an elliptical lid, a bottom, upper and lower drainage and distribution devices, fittings for the input of source water, regeneration solution, washing water, fittings for the discharge of purified water, waste regeneration solution and washing water, a layer of ionite particles, a layer of inert material particles. The bottom and the lower drainage and distribution device are made conical. In the lower part of the conical bottom of the body of the device there is a cylinder with a flat bottom, inside which a bellow is installed. A fitting for emptying the device is installed on the cylinder. On the flat bottom there is a fitting for air entry into the bellow, in the upper part of which there is a disk. In the upper part of the cylinder, a ring is installed on its inner surface. From top to bottom along the height of the apparatus there is a layer of ionite particles with a density less than the density of the purified water, and a layer of inert material particles with a density greater than the density of the purified water. The layer of inert material particles is made with the possibility of lowering them into the lower part of the cylinder with the possibility of fluidization of the ionite particle layer.
EFFECT: possibility of ion-exchange water purification using ion-exchange materials with a density lower than the density of the treated water.
