FIELD: ion exchange technologies.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment for carrying out ion exchange processes. A distinctive feature of the ion exchange apparatus is that in the lower part of the apparatus there is a vertical pipe with a conical cover, in the upper part of which there is a pipe elbow connecting the conical cover with a fitting for introducing source water, regeneration solution and wash water, and the diameter of the fitting is equal to the diameter of the pipe elbows to create a free volume inside a vertical pipe at the stages of water purification, regeneration of the ion exchanger and washing of the ion exchanger.
EFFECT: increased reliability of holding ion exchange resin particles in a stationary state between the upper drainage and distribution device and the layer of inert material particles.
