FIELD: cold forming of body parts of sheet materials in single-acting and double-acting presses for making body parts of motor vehicle, buses, agricultural machines, etc. SUBSTANCE: method of drawing parts in die having necking lip on its surface with use of holder having recess for lip comprises steps of pressing sheet blank to die, deforming central portion of blank and simultaneously braking its peripheral portion by means of lip. Lip is inclined relative to working surface of holder, its upper and lower portions are joined by cylindrical one. Lateral surface of holder recess and working surface of holder are also joined by cylindrical portion. Periphery of blank is braked at drawing it between cylindrical portion of necking lip and plane of holder recess for said lip and between cylindrical portion of holder and working surface of die when minimum gap is provided between surfaces. Contact area of blank flange and surfaces of lip increases at drawing process due to grown angle of embracing cylindrical portion of lip by blank from initial time moment until termination of drawing process.
