DRUM MIXER Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: foundry, particular, devices for preparation of sand-clay molding sands. SUBSTANCE: the offered drum mixer has drum made in form of hollow body with end face covers, loading and unloading parts. Hollow body accommodates working members of mixer and scrapers located at internal wall of drum. Novelty consists in that scrapers are attached to cross-piece installed in stationary supports for turning round axis displaced relative to drum axis. In this case, cross-piece is provided with counterweight whose action is directed to the side opposite to drum rotation. Cross-piece is made hollow and has channels for supply of liquid components to drum. EFFECT: simplified design, higher reliability and prolonged service life of mixer and improved quality of mixture. 3 cl, 3 dwg
