FIELD: railway transport; passenger trains. SUBSTANCE: lower frame of passenger car has side longitudinal angle-section beams whose vertical webs are pointed to car roof or track ballast layer and horizontal webs are pointed to each other, and U-shaped cross beams, one web of each beam being shortened and vertical webs of beams adjoining vertical webs of side longitudinal beams at end faces, and ends of shortened webs of cross beams are bent into steps and in place of location of steps in longitudinal direction they are separated from vertical webs of U- shaped cross beams. Zone for step bending is made with clearance relative to horizontal web of side longitudinal beam to compensate for length tolerances of beam and to make welds.
