FIELD: shipbuilding. SUBSTANCE: propeller includes propeller shaft located at angle relative to vertical plane of ship and semisubmerged blades. Propeller shaft is so mounted that its position relative to ship's hull may be changed both underway and when ship is brought to rest. Shape of propeller blades ensures perpendicular position of driving surface of blade (relative to longitudinal vertical plane of ship) in submerging. Propeller blades may change their position relative to longitudinal vertical plane and to base plane of ship or simultaneously to both of them, thus increasing speed, enhancing maneuverability. EFFECT: increased speed, enhanced maneuverability, enhanced economical efficiency and high safety. 6 cl, 20 dwg
