FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ship building, particularly to semi-submersible vessels for operation in Arctic ice conditions and in non-freezing seas. Proposed universal semi-submersible large-capacity carrier ship for navigation in seas with ice and pure water containing surface parts and underwater cargo body connected to pylon, which design allows destruction of ice cover. Ship is equipped with propeller steering columns arranged in bosses of submarine fore body, which dimensions provide non-protruding of propeller blades out of overall dimensions of ship bow and board and ensure vertical rotation axes of rudder propeller columns nacelles of both boards within 20° downwards and upwards relative to base plane, besides, axes of propellers are inclined to DP at angle from 10° to 20°.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of parameters of propulsion in ice conditions, first of all, ice-breaking, as well as improvement of propulsive properties at operation of ship on clean water.
