TWISTER FOR PRODUCING COMBINED TWIST THREAD Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: twister adapted for twisting complex chemical threads with yarn has feeding frame carrying bobbins of first component in the form of complex thread. Tight thread is directed through thread guide in vertical line aligned with axis of hollow rotating spindle and is further directed into channel of spindle together with yarn dispensed from bobbin mounted for rotation on spindle. Twist thread is shifted by discharge rollers to winding mechanism. Twister has controlling and actuating devices arranged adjacent to spindle apex portion so as to prevent single-thread components from getting onto feeding bobbin by forced separation of one component, when other component is torn. Chemical thread delivered from frame into upper opening of spindle channel is controlled by slight rotations of lever supported by thread at location adjacent to thread guide inlet end above spindle. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and improved quality of thread. 4 dwg
