FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has controlling and breaking member made from steel wire of 0.5-0.8 mm diameter and formed as clip with two legs of different length. Clip is fixed on hinged bracket by means of L-shaped holder so that leg of larger length may be loosely rested on connecting strip in inclined position and moved to the zone of rotation of thread dispensed from bobbin mounted on spindle, when clip is pivoted upon breakage of thread. Pin secured on free end of L-shaped holder carries clip, which is positioned at inner side of holder. Thread guide is rigidly fixed on carrier pin at outer side of holder. Working part of thread guide is made straight and extends in parallel with cylindrical bar of spinning and twisting machine and perpendicular to spindle axis. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 3 dwg
