FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion gas engines with precombustion chamber pilot-flame ignition. SUBSTANCE: gas fuel is fed by means of gas intake valve to cooled precombustion chamber via fuel passage and is ignited by means of spark plug. Gas fuel is first fed for cooling the spark plug, after which it is fed to precombustion chamber. Device for realization of this method includes gas intake valve connected with precombustion chamber by means of fuel passage and spark plug whose electrode part is arranged inside precombustion chamber. Fuel passage is connected with precombustion chamber by means of cylindrical groove made around body of spark plug which is provided with bores located over perimeter of electrode part. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of spark plug and gas engine as a whole. 3 cl, 1 dwg
