FIELD: examination and analysis of materials. SUBSTANCE: analyzer has line light source, atomizer, monochromator, and photoreceiver positioned in succession. Photoreceiver output is connected to signal processor input. Information output of signal processor is connected to recording unit input. Analyzer is provided with wide-band light source and mode of operation control unit. Signal processor is made to operate in at least two of three modes: absorption and fluorescence with alternate processing of signals from line and wide-band light source, and emission. Light sources are pulsed and controlled ones. Line light source is manufactured to operate in absorption and fluorescence modes. First and second groups of outputs of mode of operation control unit are connected to control inputs of signal processor and light sources, power supply inputs of which are connected to control outputs of signal processor.
