FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: necessity of cleaning the grounding device is checked by changing speed of electrolyte flow through vision slit. Grounding device is cleaned by removing the oil particles with the aid of waste and solvent, by washing the external and internal surfaces of porous plug located on reservoir bottom with water and powdered detergent at temperature of 50-60 C. This done, grounding device is washed under heated water jet till foam is removed completely. Then grounding device is boiled in vessel filled with water for 15-20 min, provided that it is immersed in water completely, porous plug of reservoir bottom is in Upper part of vessel, and space between vessel bottom and grounding device body is filled with water.
