SUBSTANCE: split-phase, single-layer winding with pole pair ratio P1:P2= 1:2 and P3> P2 is built up of two parts with diametral pitch according to pole pair P2; each part has 2q coils and each phase, 1/a circuits, where q = 3a, 5a, 7a, ...; a = 1,2,3, ...; both circuits are series-connected with three taps; pole pair P2 is formed by cumulative connection of coils of first and second winding parts, pole pair P1, by differential connection, and pole pair P3 is determined by expression P3= P1q/a, where first phase is formed by odd-numbered circuits of winding and second phase, by even-numbered ones; next circuit is differentially connected to preceding one.
