FIELD: amino acids. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of crystallization of methionine from aqueous solutions with precipitating agent. Method involves the use of water-soluble organic monocarboxylic acid aluminium salt. Carboxylic acid has less 8 carbon atoms and can contain hydroxyl group. Process is carried out at pH = 4.5-7, at weight content of carboxylic acid salt 500-5000 p/mln expressed as equivalent to aluminium with respect to methionine.
