FIELD: catalysts in petroleum processing. SUBSTANCE: catalyst contains titanium-magnesium production wastes originated from titanium- containing slag chlorination stage and, as oxygen-containing component, blast-furnace slag and/or dross, and/or aluminum slag and/or aluminum sludge with following contents of components (in wt %): ferrous chloride, 1.6-10.5; aluminum chloride, 0.4-17.7; magnesium chloride, 0.3-7.8; potassium chloride, 2.1-12.7; manganese oxide, 0.1- 4.1; magnesium oxide, 0.9-9.4; aluminum oxide, at most 16.5; ferric chloride, 1.2-7.9; calcium chloride, 1.4-12.2; carbon, 1.1-6.8; ferrous oxide, 2.8-13.4; and silicon oxide, 0.4-51.2. According to invention, the two above-mentioned raw materials are ground in common at ratio (10-50): (50-90), respectively.
