SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of synthesis of dl-α-tocopherol or its acetate by interation of 2,3,5-trimethylhydroquinone with phytol or isophytol in solvent medium, in the presence of acid catalyst, at increased temperature followed by if necessary esterification of the synthesized tocopherol with acetic acid anhydride and the isolation of the end product.
