FIELD: organic synthesis. SUBSTANCE: biologically active isoprenoide derivatives of 2,3,5-trimethyl-1,4- benzoquinone are prepared by acid-catalyzed condensation reaction of trimethylhydroquinone with isoprenoide allyl alcohols using as catalyst zeolite-containing aluminosilicate ZSK-5. Reaction is carried out at refluxing for 3-5 h in hydrocarbon solvents at trimethylhydroquinone-to-allyl alcohol molar ratio 1: (1.1-2) and trimethylhydroquinone-to- catalyst weight ratio 1:(1-2), after which catalyst is filtered off, filtrate evaporated, mixed with silica gel, and held in the air at 50-70 C for approximately 0.5 h.
