FIELD: locking equipment for apartment metal doors, safes, containers, cars, gates or bilges. SUBSTANCE: rim lock has paired hinges fastened on door surface and jamb and defining lock casing. Hinges may be welded to metal plates, which may be further fastened on site to door, gate etc. Lower thrust hinge prevents pin from forced withdrawal. Hinges and code couplings have openings with axial slots. Couplings are provided with bores. Insertion code rod with thrust pins serves lock closing part, which in conjunction with hinges and couplings make compact system.
