SUBSTANCE: universal code lock with a detachable coding mechanism with open, semi-closed and closed code discs is used as a rim lock or a padlock for metal and wooden doors, safes. A lock comprises a stepped stop entering an axial dead hole of a stepped bushing installed on a door or in a frame of a door post. Movement of crossbars takes place upon removal of a detachable coding mechanism by rotation of a stepped stop by its thicker end, on the other threaded end, there is a plate lever installed on a flat as fixed with a nut, freely moving with its bent end in a transverse slot of a holder, changing them from one extreme position into the other one. Fixation of a detachable coding mechanism is carried out with a lock pin by means of its entry into a slot of a door and a holder when installed on a metal door or only an entry into a wooden door. The detachable coding mechanism comprises a sign disc (sleeve), a pack of composite code discs with pads pressed via a plate disc with a nut placed onto a stepped bushing having a transverse slot for a stop disc with a hole for a lock pin rigidly fixed with a stop disc, and a figured hole, and also having a longitudinal slot for a lock pin and a groove for pad ledges. A highly hard insert is inserted to the bottom of the dead hole, a ball - into the end of the threaded end of the stepped bushing, the nut is arranged as stepped with transverse slots for a lock pin of a cap shape.
