FIELD: fuel composition for fast reactors. SUBSTANCE: fuel compound including fissionable material oxide in matrix incorporating magnesium oxide and alpha- iron is obtained by preparing solutions of fissionable materials, depositing ammonium, thermally processing power to fissionable material oxides followed by molding and sintering of pellets. During their preparation, solutions are doped, in addition, with magnesium and iron solutions and iron is reduced to metal state. Alpha-iron content in matrix is not over 75% and magnesium oxide content in it is at least 10%. EFFECT: facilitated procedure. 2 cl, 1 tbl
