REMEDY POSSESSING ANTIAMNESTIC AND ANTIHYPOXIC ACTIVITY Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves administering 1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrrolo/1,2-a/ pyrazine hydrosuccinate. The remedy is shown to be capable of removing unfavorable influence upon memory function exerted by electric shock and paradoxical sleep deprivation causing memory trace to be erased in experiments on mice and rats. Positive effect as prolonged animal life under conditions of acute hypoxia with hypercapnia in hermetically sealed volume, is observed at a dose of 0.5-5.0 mg/kg. When compared to control group, this result is 2-2.5 times superior and in cases of acute hypobaric hypoxia 3-4.5 times superior. It is considerably better from the point of view of antihypoxic activity when compared to Pyracetamum administration. Antiamnestic activity manifests itself at doses that are less than those characteristic of Pyracetamum. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment. 4 tbl
