FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining boundary of stimulating pulse burst duration corresponding to some point on time axis between the (n-1)-th and n-th real or extrapolated pulse of the initial burst. The pulses from the first to (n-1)-th remain unchanged, but the n-th pulse is transferred along the time axis to a given point and set as the last pulse in the burst. It ensures increased accuracy in setting pulse burst duration whereas burst duration change comes about smoothly when cardiac rhythm change occurs in passing from one functional cycle to the other one. In this way general automuscle stimulation duration regulation accuracy is increased and jump-like duration changes are excluded when cardiac rhythm changes. The device has signal transformation unit, locking interval former, cardiac cycle divider, stimulating pulse oscillator, OR-gate, and output stage, as well as unit for measuring cardiac cycle duration and unit for regulating stimulating pulse burst duration. Unit for forming accurate pulse burst duration, shapes pulse exactly corresponding to duration of some part of cardiac cycle. When the pulse coming from the output of the given unit and entering the input of unit for shaping the last pulse is over, the last pulse of burst is created as its output.
