All over the surface of metal component containing ferrous iron, applied coating consists of transition layer made of zinc phosphate and iron phosphate mixture and thermosetting synthetic resin layer. Method of applying the coating includes chemical deposition of transition layer, washing with demineralized water, deposition of thermosetting synthetic resin from aqueous solution, and polymerization.
