FIELD: mining industry; may be used in development of oil pools with waterflooding of producing formations. SUBSTANCE: method includes alignment of front of oil displacement with water and water shutoff in producing wells, and determination of wells where water cutting of well production attains the limit (design) value by results of control of production rate. To reduce consumption of injected water and to increase oil recovery selected for the purpose, are those flooded wells located in formation troughs and watertight barriers are installed in formation through these wells. Installation of barriers significantly redistributes water flows in formation that helps in flushing of dead and stagnant zones. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
