FIELD: techniques of performance of mining and construction jobs; may be used in dredging of placer deposits. SUBSTANCE: method includes preparation of field for dredging; formation on the deposit field of open pit filled with water; installation of dredge into open pit filled with water and one or several gas vessels of varying volume which are held by force in underwater position; excavation, processing and storing of treated rock mass into dumps by dredge mechanisms with simultaneous maintenance of safety clearance between rear part of dredge and dump surface by varying volumes of gas vessels. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
