FIELD: rocket engineering. SUBSTANCE: turbopump unit consists of major pump, acceleration pump, and booster pump. The major pump comprises several centrifugal stages. Booster pump is mounted on the shaft of the major pump and has axial- diagonal wheel and guide vanes. Acceleration pump consists of a screw and hydraulic turbine mounted on the outer diameter of the screw and has axial outlet. The outlet of the acceleration pump is connected with the inlet of the booster pump through a discharging pipe line. The guide vanes connect the outlet of the axial- diagonal wheel of the booster pump with the inlet to the major pump. The supplying pipe line of the hydraulic turbine connects the inlet of the hydraulic turbine with the flowing space of downstream of the working wheel of the booster pump, According to the second embodiment the turbopump unit also consists of major pump, acceleration pump and booster pump. The booster pump is self- contained and actuated by an individual turbine. The outlet of the acceleration pump is connected to the inlet of the booster pump through a discharging pipe line . The supplying pipe line of the major pump connects the outlet of the booster pump with the inlet of the major pump. The supplying pipe line of the hydraulic turbine connects the inlet of the hydraulic turbine with the flowing space downstream of the working wheel of the booster pump.
