With the use of both of the devices it is possible to generate signals for control of the speed of grate and charging device, flow rate of the primary air, composition of the primary air, flow rate of the secondary air, composition of the secondary air, speed of rotation of the slag roller, and temperature of the air heating device thus allowing furnace power to be controlled depending on requirements on steam flow rate.
