FIELD: computer engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has electric motor, carriage with shafts on which first and second reels with common tape are mounted. Each reel has one side scale which is made from ferromagnetic material. In addition device has first and second electric magnets and flexible members which together with side scales of reels provide propelling device. Device carriage is L-shaped. Shafts of reels are mounted on its side. First and second electric magnets are mounted in opposite to side scale of each reel along tape rolling direction. First electric magnet is mounted by means of flexible member for movement in plane of carriage frame. Second electric magnet is mounted in it stationary. External U-shaped magnetic circuit of first electric magnet is orthogonal to side scale of reel and magnetic circuit of second electric magnet in order to achieve working gap.
