GYROMAGNETIC SHF CROSSMULTIPLIER Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

Abstract RU 2099854 C1

FIELD: SHF equipment. SUBSTANCE: crossmultiplier incorporates section of SHF transmission line put into clearance of external magnet 1 that is manufactured on base of waveguide 2 with hole in wall 3 where hexaferrite resonator 4 with axis of magnetic crystallographic axis of anisotropy is inserted and oriented at angle 20-70 deg with reference to field of external magnet 1. Resonator 4 has acoustic contacts with modulation element 5 in the form of piezoelectric radiator. Modulator 5 emits acoustic vibrations and changes orientation of crystallographic axis of resonator 4 and its resonance frequency modulating SHF signal. Demodulator 6 isolates envelope of this signal containing harmonics of modulation frequency. Amplitude of each harmonic is proportional to power of each SHF vibration. EFFECT: increased efficiency of conversion of radiations on preset frequencies with advance into millimeter range of waves and into its short-wave part. 2 dwg
