TELEVISION PROJECTOR Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

Abstract RU 2099902 C1

FIELD: projection on large TV screens, such as for demonstrating video films. SUBSTANCE: TV projector that has main-color video signal source, three video amplifiers, mirror adder, and screen, is provided, in addition, with three chrominance-beam control channels each incorporated in analog-to-digital converter, control unit, controlled radiator of respective color, and optical system, line sweep amplifier with first piezodeflector, frame sweep amplifier with second piezodeflector, and series- connected pulse generator and switch. Image is displayed on large screen by three mixed beams of main colors from three controlled radiators whose beams are brightness- modulated by digital codes of video signals. Line and frame sweeps are effected by two piezodeflectors. Sampling frequency is 13.5 MHz; video signals are presented by eight-bit codes; maximal brightness of screen is 1147.5 cd/sq. m. Projector is supplied with power from low-voltage (12 V) power supply. Power requirement, less video signal source, is 50 W. EFFECT: improved reliability of line and frame sweep, improved safety in operation, reduced power requirement of projector. 2 cl, 3 dwg , 1 tbl
