FIELD: apiculture. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has power source 14, microphone 1, preliminary low-frequency amplifier 2 with pass band of 100-600 Hz, automatic amplification adjustment amplifier 3, average rectified value detector 6, mixer 4, low-pass active filter 5, integrating analog-to-digital converter 7, matrix indicator control device 8, matrix indicator 9, discretely readjusted heterodyne 10, central control device 11, timer 12 and control panel 13. Apparatus is portable and may be used for biological researches of bee family sound signal spectral characteristics. It may be also used by practicing bee-keepers lacking deep knowledge of bee habits and apparatus may help them in controlling occurrence of critical situations in bee families, such as preswarming state, loss of female bee, acceptance of new female bee, repelling of new female bee, overheating of beehive etc. EFFECT: wider operational capabilities, reduced labour intensity and simplified construction and usage method. 1 dwg
