FIELD: mineral dressing. SUBSTANCE: apparatus is provided with expanding chamber connected to sand-discharge connecting pipe and having facilities to trap heavy fraction made in the form of vertically installed cylinders with conical bottoms having outlet openings in apexes of cones and tangential connecting pipes on the walls of cylinders on their borders with conical bottoms. Expanding chamber, on the side of its broad end, has adjustable overflow dam and chute to admit slime with fine fraction. Cylinders have collar fastened on their inner surfaces at the level of their top ends. Tangential connecting pipes belonging to heavy fraction-trapping facilities have pneumohydraulic aerators at their inlets on the second ends of each pair of pipes. Tangential connecting pipes belonging to heavy fraction-trapping facility fastened on slime-admission connecting pipe are provided with similar aerators at the inlet on the side of both ends of tangential connecting pipes. Slime-admission connecting pipe, in its lower part, has pocket disposed outside along this pipe and tangentially with regard to heavy fraction-trapping facility. This pocket serves to couple internal part of connecting pipe with internal cavity of facility. Tangential entry from pocket into mentioned internal cavity is disposed immediately under its collar and provides slime rotation in the same direction as that from tangential connecting pipes.
